Bootcamps vs Real Education
The word ‘bootcamp’ conjures up images of drill sergeants and sleepless nights, and that’s not what a real education is about. The promise of becoming a “Full Stack Developer in 8 Weeks” is an alluring one. But is it even possible if you are just getting started out? And what is the completion rate in the course by the students? If you want to succeed in your career as a developer, these are the real questions you need to be asking yourself.
At RED our programs are very different to a “web developer bootcamp”. First and foremost, they are designed to be ‘radically relevant’, teaching you the skills and technologies that tech companies are actually hiring for.
What You’ll Learn
Master the web's markup language and craft well-structured, semantic HTML.
Bring your websites to life with the jQuery library and learn the basics of interacting with web APIs using AJAX.
Style pages to be elegant web experiences for users, and explore adding interactivity via CSS3 transitions.
Lead Instructor, Web Developer
Mandi is the lead instructor for our Web Developer Professional Program. Web developer by day (and usually by night too), Mandi specializes in custom WordPress plugin and theme development. Her background in content strategy and web writing has helped her develop a well-rounded approach to her current skill set. When she’s not creating structurally sound websites that work like a well-oiled machine, you can find her making use of a fleet of vintage cameras. In fact, nothing makes her quite as excited as the sound of a Polaroid SX-70 camera the moment it ejects a new photo.

Ben also finished a full-stack web-immersive which he uses to help and relate each student he works with.
