There is no shortage of resources and efforts on teaching people the principles of entrepreneurship. Even with all of the incubators, accelerators, and workshops available to entrepreneurs today there is a lack of places where one can learn the hard skills required to actually build, launch, and grow a digital company.  

The Design Thinking and Growth Marketing for New Ventures course covers how to build experiences and products that people love, how to manage the development process, and how to drive customers to your product. Learn the essential digital marketing and user experience design skills necessary to take your venture to the next level.

Nick Tchir
Experience Designer, Invoke Media

Nick is an experience designer and digital creator, he’s been practicing professionally in the digital space for the past 7 years. Currently working at Invoke Media, Nick focuses mainly on making value-driven web and mobile user interface designs, participating in early concept development, design ideation and incorporate usability and field research findings into product/app and web design. He finds exploring how interaction and visual design can be leveraged to solve problems profoundly interesting and purposeful. Aside from inhaling data, Nick likes to pretend he’s good at surfing and snowboarding, chat him up about anything board related!

Sean Eikerman
Director of Operations, RED Academy

Sean is our Admissions Director who’s got a lazer focus on making RED an educational paradise with the best and brightest students. He’s an aficionado of old-school hip hop, and has over 7 year’s experience working with small tech firms and start-ups, including co-founding and running his own company, Boatwyze.

His background in the vibrant tech scene, bundled with his love for education, fuels his massive enthusiasm for bridging the gap between the innovative tech firms who need good people and the students who need fulfilling jobs. On the weekend, Sean can be found sailing around Vancouver with his friends, mentoring young startup founders, playing beer-league sports and cooking up mildly-successful meals.


How is RED different?

RED stands for Real Education and Development. We offer a totally unique approach to learning; our school more closely resembles a real-world agency than what you might expect in a traditional learning environment. Our curriculum is also very different in that it is designed to be highly active and experiential, which means that you are working in student teams on real-world projects with real clients from our network of community and charity partners, producing

Do you have a payment plan or any financing options?

Yes we do. After paying your deposit, there are two options:

1. The remainder of your tuition is paid in full 30 days prior to the term start date. Early bird discounts are available if you pay the first 50% within 60 days of the course start date.
2. The remainder of your tuition is paid in three instalments: 1/3 is paid 30 days prior to the start date of the term, 1/3 is paid on the term start date, and 1/3 is paid 30 days after the term start date. For part-time courses the financing option is +$100 and for full-time it’s +$300, with the fee attached to the first payment.

RED is an affiliate partner with GROW, a Vancouver based lending company that provides a specific type of loan for people that are looking for short-term technical training.
