Why You Need to See Design Disruptors
Design Disruptors reveals a never-before-seen perspective on the design approaches of 15+ industry-shaking companies, and how they’re using the power of design to disrupt billion dollar industries. Read on to learn how you can watch the exclusive screening at RED Vancouver!
Have you ever realized how many steps it takes for a user to accomplish their goal of updating friends on social media? Or track conversion rates on the landing page of a website? Or used the tacit knowledge of a user group to inform design decisions?
Design affects our lives every day. The InVision crew’s documentary, Design Disruptors, interviews over 90 different design leaders at the world’s leading companies. These companies are the most disruptive and significant companies of our time. They’ve discovered the true nature of the design-driven business revolution gripping the planet.
The travel industry is a good example of this revolution. In 2014, AirBnB surpassed one of the world’s largest hotel chains, Hilton Hotel, in rooms and countries of operation. It took 93 years for Hilton Hotels to build their empire, whereas it only took AirBnB four. Just this past February, AirBnB hit 60 million users.
The Design Disruptors documentary was created to give us the inside look on how these revolutionary designers have directly impacted their users lives, and therefore the success of their companies. And since there’s still so much power to unlock in this space, this film sheds light on just how they’ve faced and overcome these challenges to get to where they are now.
RED Academy is the only space in Vancouver to screen this incredibly hyped and sought after documentary! It will be screened on Tuesday, July 19th at 6:00pm. Following the screening will be a debrief from a panel of Vancouver’s leading designers.
Event will be by donation. All proceeds from the event will be going to InVision’s charity of choice, Worldwide AIGA. You can register here.
